SPOKANE, WASHINGTON, 2007

January 4th, 2007, found Michael at Aunties Bookstore, in Spokane, Washington, sharing the stage with award winning Young Adult Author Chris Crutcher. At his debut appearance, Michael fielded questions from a standing room only crowd of over 200 people, then signed books until the store closed. The venue, with Chris, featured SKATE, and Michael and Chris spoke in detail about the mentoring process, how it helped the author, and how Michael's background in high school has shaped his writing.
